JOYCE ANN KOCKS

"God watch over you, keep you safe and give you faith" - Joyce

Loving Wife, Mother, Grammy, Aunt, sister & friend

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Joyce Ann Kocks who passed away on April 17, 2002. Although many years have passed you are never forgotten and you will live forever in our memories and hearts.

She was a wonderful friend to everyone that she met.  She was the type of person that formed an instant bond with everyone.  I remember even when she would "run into" Circle K it would take her 30 minutes.  She would come out knowing the cashiers name and her whole family history.  We would walk into the local Cracker Barrell and they all knew her by name.  She just really really cared for everyone.  She could never turn anyone away and was quick to forgive anyone.  She was also very sensitive and cared so deeply that sometimes she could get her feelings hurt easily.

She had such a wonderful sense of humor.  She could be so goofy sometimes and she would crack me up with the occasionally snort when she laughed.  She lit up a room by just being "Joyce".

She was such a wonderful mother to me and my brother and of course a wonderful wife and grandmother.  She couldnt wait to become a grandmother.  When it finally happened she was so overjoyed and loved my daughter Ally so much.  Although she was only here with Ally for 8 months I know those months were so filled with happiness.

She always put us first and would do everything to be sure we were happy.  She was my best friend and I knew that I could always count on her.  We talked on the phone at least 5 times a day.  She was always helping me and my brother and really really cared that we were happy.  I could go on forever about my mother but it is most important to know how great she was and how she taught me the importance of unconditional love and how to be a wonderful mom.    I made this site so others could remember her and would be able to think of her all of time.  I have to believe there is a power in that and that she can feel when we are thinking of her.  I know that she is here with us in some way.

They say memories are golden
Well maybe that's true
But we never wanted memories
We only wanted you.

A million times we've needed you
A million times we've cried
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died.

In life we loved you dearly
In death we love you still
In our hearts you hold a special place
No one could ever fill.

If tears could build a staircase
And heartache build a lane
We'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again.
